Critical Thinking of Hypertexts

"Critical thinking is 'the examination and testing of suggested solutions to see whether they will work.'" This reminded me of the trail-and-error process of formatting an essay. Sometimes you need to move paragraphs around and switch sentences with others. Sometimes it's important to rename your anchor text to something more informative.

"Critical thinking is 'the art of thinking about your thinking while you are thinking in order to make your thinking better: more clear, more accurate, or more defensible.' This definition of critical thinking made me laugh because it's talking about how to make your thinking more clear, although the definition itself isn't that clear at all. How exactly do you think while you think?

"The purpose of critical thinking is, therefore, to achieve understanding, evaluate view points, and solve problems. Since all three areas involve the asking of questions, we can say that critical thinking is the questioning or inquiry we engage in when we seek to understand, evaluate, or resolve." This is my favorite of the critical thinking quotes. It reminds me of making a draft, reading it over, and making an attempt to make it better.
