Thus, critical thinking involves: following evidence where it leads; considering all possibilities; relying on reason rather than emotion; being precise; considering a variety of possible viewpoints and explanations; weighing the effects of motives and biases, Kurland, Daniel J. I Know What It Says . . . What does it Mean? 1995.
Critical thinking is "a process which stresses an attitude of suspended judgment, incorporates logical inquiry and problem solving, and leads to an evaluative decision or action."

Personally, I find that these definitions of critical thinking really applied to the way I created my hypertext projects. I tried to use cohesive patterns of reasoning- to make all of the links make sense. I also wanted to make MY evidence follow where it leads...so everything is in a logical order. Also, I think that the organization of a hypertext has to be logical- one has to make decisions- what are the key words to link, what should the links lead to? etc.. Mostly, the decisions used when making a hypertext must be logical so that a reader can follow the lead and understand the reasoning behind it.
